You should always be safe when you drive. One way to be safe is to make sure you wear your seatbelt and never drive with
anyone you suspect is drunk. I grew up in Gillette and one of my friends died in a car accident that envolved a drunk driver.
Loren was 13 and in the 8th grade. He was in the car not wearing his seatbelt driving to school when a drunk driver Tboned
his moms van. Loren was put on life support. Later his family made the discision to take him off of life support and he passed
away. Loren probably had lots of plans like college, a job, and raising a family and now he wont get the chance because someone
took it away from him. Always drive safe or else you might end up like Loren.
I grew up learning about how it is so important to wear a seat belt but it is so very true. My brother also learned how
important it really is. He only had his hardship and wasn't suppose to be driving but he decided to after he stay up all night.
It was a long drive to our house and he was feeling very tired. It was about six inthe morning and we got a phone call asking
if we had a husband or son with a white truck and we realized that it was my brother. They guy that asked told us that he
had gotten into a little accident and wasn't comfortable driving home. We thought okay then he and the truck were fine and
we could go get it later. When they got to my house Anthony was fine and just felt tired so he went and laid down. The men
that brought him home left and we were trying to talk to Anthony to see what all had happened. He was telling us that he thought
that he had hit a deer and swerved and then it was over with. He was talking and acting funny and we finally realized that
he had a concussion. So we were getting into the truck to take him to the hospital and we were going to see the truck. It
was crushed to pieces and there was a little space where Anthony most likely was sitting. It was a miracle that he survived
and it was all because he was wearing his seat belt.
